More Than Just Your Realtor: My Heart for This Community

When people ask me what I do, I always say "I'm a Realtor" – but honestly, that's just the beginning of my story here in Lincoln County that I’d like to share with you!

Yes, I've been helping families find their dream homes in these beautiful mountains for 6 years first as an Associate Broker and now a Supervisory Qualifying Broker with Better Homes and Garden Real Estate - Steinborn and Associates. And yes, I absolutely love matching people with the perfect property, whether it's a cozy cabin in Alto or a family home in Ruidoso. But what really drives me – what gets me up every morning – is this incredible community we get to call home.

Home Is Where the Heart Serves

When I help you find a house, I'm not just handing you keys to a building. I'm welcoming you into a community that I'm deeply invested in, quite literally.

I’ve always had an interest in being involved with our community and one way to do that is with our local Volunteer Fire Department, but I was a little intimidated!  Finally at the end of 2024 after watching our community suffer through the worst wildfire in our local history, I reached out to a good friend who I knew was involved with one of the local departments and asked how I can learn more. After attending the first few meetings I learned there are a million different ways to help with a department, whether it’s getting involved with actual structure fires & training, helping with admin work, responding to wild land fires, flood response calls, traffic help, or even just pitching in to come together for another community member, I am honored to be part of it! If you're ever interested in being a part of something like this, please let me know!

If there is one thing I’ve learned over the last couple of years, Ruidoso is TOUGH and we all come together when times are hard. That's just who we are!

Every Creature Deserves a Home

My heart for this community extends beyond just the two-legged residents. Helping as a Board Membe with the Lincoln County Humane Society, I've seen firsthand how a loving home can transform lives – whether we're talking about a rescued pup finding their forever family or a family discovering the perfect property where their four-legged members can roam free.

I have my own rescued couch Potato named Sarge, he came into our lives last year after the South Fork Fire devastated our Community. His story was that he had wandered up to the command center that had been placed at the Convention Center and he ultimately ended up at the Humane Society where the amazing staff & volunteers helped him with his social media debut. After a few weeks of no luck finding his owners, we decided to see if we could incorporate him into our life and he has worked his way into it just fine. Sarge now spends his days sleeping on the couch, getting to go on out of town adventures, and making us smile constantly. He really is the best dog. If you ever feel like there is a space in your life for a furry friend, please adopt, don’t shop!

There's something special about helping a client find a home with enough land for their horses, or showing them how that fenced yard is perfect for the dogs they're planning to adopt. These aren't just real estate features to me – they're the foundation for the kinds of relationships that make a community strong.

Why This Matters to You

I feel it’s important to know who you’re working with on what’s likely one of the biggest purchases you will make in your life. I want you to know not only that I will do my best to do things right in your transaction but also to know that my heart is truly invested in the community you’re investing in!

The Real Estate Connection

This community involvement isn't separate from my real estate work – it is my real estate work. Every group effort, every board meeting, every community event I attend helps me understand what makes this place special. It helps me share authentic insights with my clients about what life is really like here.

When I mention that Lincoln County folks value independence and self-reliance, I'm not reading from a tourism brochure – I'm sharing what I see in myself and my neighbors every single day.

We’ve experienced an especially tough couple of years with fires & subsequent flooding, resulting in us battling tremendous amounts of negative media which in the end hurts our economy, yet I’ve seen locals come together in amazing ways to find the light at the end of the tunnel through every tough battle. These examples are what makes me proud to know and be part of this community.

Finding Your Place in Our Story

Whether you're a first-time buyer looking for your starter home, a growing family needing more space, or someone ready to make the move to mountain living, I want to help you find more than just the right property. I want to help you find your place in this community's ongoing story.

Because at the end of the day, a house becomes a home when it's surrounded by people who care about each other. And after over 30 years of being part of this community with 6 years of helping families plant roots in these mountains – and putting down deep roots of my own through service & experiences– I can tell you with certainty that Lincoln County is full of people who care.

So yes, I'm your Realtor. But I'm also your neighbor, your fellow community member, and someone who genuinely wants to see this community thrive. When you're ready to find your place in our mountain community, I'd love to help you write the next chapter of your story here in the Land of Enchantment.
